During May 18-20, the international event Pint of Science  invite leading scientists to share their knowledge in a relaxed and informal setting, in the bars!

This provides a platform that allows people to learn about and discuss research directly with the scientists conducting it. This festival is held annually, simultaneously in coordination with all participating countries and cities, and for three consecutive days, bars around the world are filled with science.

Nationally, it takes place in 108 localidades de España. This year, Microviable is a Gold sponsor for the events in Asturias, thus reinforcing our commitment to science communication and outreach, ensuring that science reaches the public.

In addition to being sponsors, we will be present giving a talk alongside some of the best researchers in Asturias. We will be discussing the relationship between the microbiota and cancer, a fascinating field of research that helps us better understand how the microorganisms that live in our bodies influence health and how this knowledge can be used to develop treatments. David Ríos, PhD, Director of Technology at Microviable, will be leading the discussion for the people of Oviedo.
