Microviable Therapeutics offers the possibility of performing a microbiota transplant more comfortably and even storing the microbiota for future therapeutic uses.

Microviable has developed the GutAlive kit, a device for the collection of gut microbiota in anaerobic conditions that allows to ensure its viability and diversity and improve the quality of the sample. Currently, it is the device of choice in the fecal transplant protocols of the Spanish Gastroenterology Association.

Company has launched the possibility of storing a person’s own microbiota in case they might need it in the future and that opens up a wide range of possibilities for the treatment of diseases related to gut bacteria.

“The concept is the same that storage of umbilical cord or ovules” Rafael Martinez Permuy, CEO at Microviable
